Definition of ultimatum per dictionary.com: "a final demand or statement of terms, the rejection of which will result in retaliation or a breakdown in relations."
No wonder this never works. Would you like this done to you? It puts you in a corner. It coerces you to make a forced decision. It invalidates your free will.
It is the mark of the desperate. And all of us have been desperate in our lives in some way. May we let those times make us, move us, and help us find the One who is never desperate and wants us anyways.
