A Year Ago

A year ago I lived with a coworker.
It was nice but expensive.
I had a full time job.
I miss the money but not the work.
A year ago I was planning a trip to Disneyland.
I am still saving for this trip.
I had not seen as many cool shows.
And I only got to spend weekends with my brother.
A year ago things were better with my bff,
But we have both grown.
A year ago
Things weren't as good
And they were better.

Entitlement

I used to see this when I worked in retail,
But I've seen it a lot in my current life too.
People have this entitlement problem
That makes them say they deserve all these things.
Others are responsible for providing for them.
Others are responsible for making them happy.
If they buy something and it is not perfect,
They blame the customer service person.
Nothing is their fault,
And others are supposed to pay at their expense.
To that, I just have to shake my head,
And cover my face.
Because I cannot change them,
Or make them see their arrogance slash stupidity.

Sick

At least there are two good things about being sick:
I get to watch TV all day
And sleep as much as I want.

RIP Orion

My brother's cat Orion was put down today.
We didn't plan on it,
But he started throwing up blood this morning.
He's been steadily declining in health lately,
And lived a full life of 18 years.
But he will still be missed.

Waiting

I'm waiting for this DVD set to go down in price, so I can buy it.
I'm kicking myself for waiting when it was under $20. Now it's almost $40.
